What can counselling help with

What can counselling help with?

I am trained and experienced in working with young people and also adults have experience in helping with many issues including:

  • trauma
  • depression
  • stress
  • anxiety
  • eating issues
  • low self-esteem
  • self-image and identity
  • sexual abuse
  • domestic violence
  • emotional abuse
  • relationship issues
  • mental wellbeing support
  • parenting issues
  • issues relating to adoption or being looked after
  • bereavement and grief
  • sexuality and gender issues
  • being a carer
  • self-harm and suicidal thoughts
  • postnatal depression
  • work related stress
  • managing change
  • personal development
  • spirituality

Counselling can also be really helpful when you feel that things have got on top of you and you’re not coping as well as you would like to. In the same way that we might take a car for servicing or see our GP for a health check, a short period of counselling can offer the opportunity to take a step back in a safe space and reflect with someone skilled and who is outside of it all, on how things are and how we might like them to be.
